‘A Night Like This’ Will Make its World Premiere at BFI Flare!
We’re very excited to share that the Randan co-produced feature film, ‘A Night Like This’ will make its World Premiere at BFI Flare in London on March 28th, followed by a Q&A with director Liam Calvert! Randan’s Reece Cargan will also be repping Randan at the premiere.
‘A Night Like’ This follows Lukas, a down-on-his-luck actor who plans to end his life until he meets Oliver, an affable charmer and aspiring musician who’s just lost his dad. The two decide to spend one night together exploring London and the “meaning of life”. They can ask each other anything, on one condition, after the night ends they’ll never see each other again. But as the night progresses, secrets surface and romantic feelings develop, making it harder to say goodbye. They part ways, but soon realize that together they can face the uncertainties that lie ahead.
The film is directed by Liam Calvert, written and produced by Diego Scerrati, stars Alexander Lincoln (In From the Side, The Groomsmen Second Chances) as Oliver, Jack Brett Anderson (Wolfblood, Genius) as Lukas, and features David Bradley (Harry Potter, Game of Thrones).
You can watch the teaser here.
You can find tickets to the premiere on March 28th at 6:00 p.m. and the second screening of the film on March 29th at 1:10 p.m. here. Tickets go on sale on February 27th at noon.
In addition to ‘A Night Like This’ making its debut, two Randan executive-produced shorts ‘Hot Young Geek Seeks Blood Sucking Freak’ directed by Heath Virgoe and ‘Park Life’ directed by Marco De Luca will also be screening at BFI Flare.
‘Hot Young Geek Seeks Blood Sucking Freak’ is a zany Scottish genre-comedy, following Max who finds out their penchant for Twilight fan fiction means more than just online fandom, in this short film about vampires, pizza, and coming out.
‘Hot Young Geek Seeks Blood Sucking Freak’ will be screening on Saturday 29 March at 6:15 p.m. at BFI Southbank, NFT2.
‘Park Life’ follows Noah and Medhi, who weren’t expecting to make any real connections when they encounter one another cruising in a park. But what starts as a meaningless and transactional hookup, soon blossoms into something unexpectedly romantic and meaningful as they wander the quiet streets of London one remarkable night.
‘Park Life’ will be screening on Saturday, March 22nd at 11 a.m. at BFI Southbank, NTF1.
Tickets for both “Park Life” and “Hot Young Geek also go on sale on February 27th at noon.
